Things have been moving slowly these days as we refined the biz plan & await its return from the printers. This week we will start making personal contact with all of our potential investores. We hope they love us a s much as we love them.

Yes!!! The business plan has been finalized and is off to the printer. What a relief. We, with no small amount of perfectionism, have put such a lot of hard work & research into this project. An arduous task to say the least. Thanks goes to everyone who helped us through, and helped review the earlier copy. You guys had some very insightful things to say, most of which, I am proud to say we listened to.
All in all, this is going to be an amazing restaurant, and one we hope can become synonomous with life south of Oltorf.

I found my self looking back at some of the ideas aetherseed generated foe us that we didn’t end up using for the business plan, and thought I’d share some:

We may have found a designer for the website today. No joke, the guy can spit 50 foot fireballs in the air! Seems like just our man!
As part of the business plan I created four sample menus, one for each season. Because she is just around the corner, here is the summer menu:
You can click on the image for a clearer view. I left off the dessert portion, but I can tell you we will always feature artisinal chocolate tastings. Served in the manner of a cheese plate. It seems like every where you look there’s an obligatory gooey-chocolate-lava-mousse-shit-pile. THZ is not every where you look. We like chocolate & we want it pure. We will carry a number of single plantation, ethically appropriate chocolates for you to savour.

Heraclitus, who philosophized the universe was born of fire, used the term “Logos” to mean the principle & order of the universe.
That is exactly what I intended THZ’s logo to be, as well. I think it looks pretty damned amazing on it’s own, but its symbolism is also rife with important iconic imagery. Images important both to me and important to heraldry as a whole. It is after all a coat of arms, and while I won’t go as far as to call myself the king of the harpies, I can at least be king of The Zoo.
The COA has an underlying theme of duality, with virtually every image have dual meanings, and most symbolizing luck, if not luck than love, order, strength, gifts, shelter and hospitality, the universe in general. THZ is into some heavy shit. I won’t tell you all about it here, but if your interested just do a quick google search on any of the images therein.

We @ THZ are great with food & hospitality. With all things computer, not so much. The kind and beautiful folks over @aetherseed have been good enough to dress us up a bit. Thank God, I don’t know how we ever made it out of the house…
