Heraclitus, who philosophized the universe was born of fire, used the term “Logos” to mean the principle & order of the universe.
That is exactly what I intended THZ’s logo to be, as well. I think it looks pretty damned amazing on it’s own, but its symbolism is also rife with important iconic imagery. Images important both to me and important to heraldry as a whole. It is after all a coat of arms, and while I won’t go as far as to call myself the king of the harpies, I can at least be king of The Zoo.
The COA has an underlying theme of duality, with virtually every image have dual meanings, and most symbolizing luck, if not luck than love, order, strength, gifts, shelter and hospitality, the universe in general. THZ is into some heavy shit. I won’t tell you all about it here, but if your interested just do a quick google search on any of the images therein.
